Holiday shopping for a cause!

People lately have been telling us how excited they are to get out on the streets and just “do something!” As opinion leaders like David Mixner have begun calling for civil disobedience and direct action, Equality Network has been forming a plan to launch a National Equality Action Campaign to remind the people of the United States that equal rights are not a convenience, they’re a requirement.

The time is now, and you can help us to launch our effort by joining us for a night of fun and fund-raising, on Tuesday, December 8th at 8pm! We’ve assembled a star-studded list of entertainers for our second “Family Values: Babes in Toyland” event, at Eleven Nightclub & Restaurant in West Hollywood (map), including: Selene Luna (The Chow Show), The Bouffant Sisters, Ongina (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Frangela (I’m a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here!), Ian Harvie (Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed on ABC), Nadya Ginsburg (Comedienne), Tammie Brown (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Barbie Q, Detox, and special guest appearances by your favorite celebrities!

Every year, the legendary Livonia Speaks concludes summer with her drag extravaganza, The Sassy Show! This Labor Day, Livonia has partnered with Equality Network to host a benefit to promote same-sex marriage equality and equal rights for all Americans.

On Monday, September 7th, 2009 at 8:00 PM, the hot gogo boys and female illusionists of The Sassy Show reign. Please join us at Here Lounge in West Hollywood (map) at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Robertson for a night to remember. For those of you interested in attending our Family Values fundraiser and silent auction on Wednesday, August 5th at 8 pm, you should buy your tickets NOW, through our pre-sale website at www.gayfamilyvalues.net. Even if you can’t attend the event, you can still support the cause by making a donation through that site.

We have a fantastic line up of performers and DJs, as well as some great items in our silent aucion.
